Android’s ‘Nearby Share’ file sharing feature is finally launching – The Verge
If you have Android 6 and up, you can finally share files directly from phone to phone, just like AirDrop on the iPhone. It will also work with Chromebooks, but there’s no announced availability for Windows or Mac.

It will finally be slightly easier to share files, images, links, and other content between Android devices. Google is launching a new Android feature called Nearby Share that enables direct sharing between any device running Android 6 and up. The design director of Infinity Ward said that Call of Duty Warzone, the game’s stand-alone battle royale, will “become tied to other games in the Call of Duty universe,” rather than fade away as later sequels roll out.
Call of Duty Warzone, which embarks upon its fifth season at 11 p.m. PT tonight, will continue beyond 2020 and will become tied to other games in the Call of Duty universe, according to Infinity Wards design director.
